Growing up, I wanted to be a dentist; while Shaun wanted to be a bus driver. My mind changed when I found out how much school was involved (I hated school); and Shaun’s changed because he grew up to prefer fast sports cars (and learned that in order to buy those fast sports cars he would need a higher paying job).
Now, Shaun works in trades, while I have pursued a career in administration and data entry. Shaun loves being hands on in his field, and I enjoy solving puzzles, and working somewhat by myself. I don’t think there is anyone out there who likes every aspect of their job, but I believe you should find a skill that you are good at and also enjoy, in order to have somewhat of a happy work life.
It’s fun watching Jaiden grow, as he also has fascination with buses – just as Shaun did when he was young. Whether he grows up to be a bus driver or not, I hope that whatever he and Nova become, they enjoy. But above all, I hope that they follow their hearts to make their own choices and decisions, instead of doing what they think would make the most money (or be most socially accepted). As long as they are good people, who follow their happiness, they will change the world – and the rest does not matter.
